GlowLedger Analytics
Financial tracking and analytics platform for estheticians and beauty professionals
Overview
Built for a working esthetician who was tracking client income in spreadsheets and losing visibility into performance. GlowLedger is a Streamlit web app that imports appointment data from Google Calendar, associates each booking with a service type and revenue figure, and renders an interactive dashboard with daily, monthly, and yearly breakdowns.
The platform covers the full financial workflow:
- Syncing appointments directly from the practitioner's existing Google Calendar
- Identifying top-performing services and highest-value clients
- Managing prepaid subscriptions and gift card (buoni regali) redemptions per client
Technical Implementation
All data transformations and aggregations run through Pandas. Plotly handles the interactive charts. SQLite provides local persistence for client records and financial entries.
The Google Calendar integration uses a service-account OAuth flow, pulling event titles and timestamps on each startup to stay in sync with the booking schedule. The dashboard updates in real time as filters are applied, giving instant answers to questions like "which service generated the most revenue this month" without any manual exports or pivot tables.
